The Wildhearts ticket
I'm usually a bit sceptical of bands reforming, but The Wildhearts never really got to bask in the glory of their popularity and it's not as if they split up 20 years ago or anything so I was keen to have another chance to see them live. For me it was like catching up with old friends, as I'd not really been involved in the later releases, their problems or offshoot bands. So now they've presumably kissed and made up and are back on tour with the classic line-up and their unique blend of punk and glam rock'n'roll that made them such a big hit with all types of rock fans back in the 1990's!

There's no messing around as they play 'Greetings From Shitsville', 'Turning American', 'TV Tan', 'Love U Til I Don't, 'My Baby Is A Headfuck', 'Suckerpunch', classic song after classic song. They sound brilliant and they look as if they're enjoying every minute of it, with lots of smiling and laughing on stage. Danny asks, "So do you think this was a good idea?" That would be a resounding 'Yes!', although I'm not sure if there are any plans to reform permanently or even if it would work this time around either. Some bands are just meant to self-destruct and leave behind happy memories and classic albums.
