The basement at the 13th Note Cafe is very busy and hot and then The Day I Snapped launch into 'Unwound' and you can add 'very loud' to that list. Not that I'm complaining about that, but the sound is totally overwhelming in such a small place although it is great! Every song sounds amazing from the cool swagger of 'Jennifer 8', the frantic 'Glass Eye' or the slow and sweet 'Everlast'. I'm tempted to say this is their best gig so far; it's certainly the loudest. They are a band that are consistently good so the next will probably be their best too, although they must be getting a little bored with playing in Glasgow all the time. A nice support slot on a UK tour would probably go down really well. |
